The Lion and the Mouse Sermon on Christian Love
The sermon recounts Aesop’s fable of the lion and the mouse to teach that Christians should help all, even enemies, drawing on Matthew 5 44 47 and Romans 5 8. It urges believers to respond with supernatural love rather than natural retaliation and to imitate Christ’s sacrifice. Anonymous narrator reflects on kindness and regret over blindness to someone’s need.
