In Buttonwillow, Miss Maxine Green and Mrs Gary Steward presided as bridesmaids. The ceremony united Miss Selvidge and Mr Pacini in a forest velvet empire gown and gold accessories. A 150 guest buffet followed at the Tracy Ranch. The couple honeymooned between Carmel Highlands Inn and a Glenville cabin and will reside in Bakersfield.
The engagement of Beverly Gloeckler to Don Smith was announced at a family dinner in Shafter California. Guests included relatives from Tempe Arizona and Dodge City Kansas. Beverly, a Bakersfield College dental assistant major, and Don, a student at Arizona State University, plan to wed July 16 at the Mennonite Brethren church in Shafter.
Miss Janice Kroeker wed Jary Dean Ollenburger in a double ring ceremony at Shafter Mennonite Brethren Church. The couple, both juniors at Tabor College, will reside in Hillsboro after their wedding trip to Taber.
Mr and Mrs J L Morgan announce the engagement of their daughter Deanna Morgan to First Lieutenant John A Ganley son of Mr and Mrs James A Ganley of Walnut Creek California The couple has set a wedding date at the Rio Tex chapel Deanna graduated Shafter High School class of 1962 and Hes Beauty College in Bakersfield She works at Noras Beauty Salon in Wasco Ganley graduated from high school in Walnut Creek and earned a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from San Jose State University
Edward Lopez son of Mr and Mrs Rudy Lopez 168 West Lerdo arrived December 18 to spend the holidays with his parents. A George Washington University freshman majoring in political science he is working in the office of Harlan Hagen. He left to resume his studies December 30.
Mr and Mrs Henry W Isaac of 315 Walnut announce the engagement of their daughter Dolyn Carol to Gary Wayne of the village a 1965 graduate after high school active in Future Homemakers of America. She represented the school at the Food for Youth Power conference at Asilomar and played in the orchestra. He is a Soquel High School graduate, student at Foothill College, and employed at Stanford Research Hospital. The couple plan a late summer wedding.
Miss Rena May Lewis daughter of Mr and Mrs Noah Lewis of 510 Willow Street announced engagement to Darrell Dochterman son of Mr and Mrs C W Doch of Bakersfield at a Christmas Eve dinner. Lewis is a Shafter High School junior majoring in business education with plans to graduate in 1967. Dochterman is a Seaman First Class stationed at China Lake and a Bakersfield North High School graduate. His three year enlistment ends in August 1966. No wedding date has been set.
Nancy Irene Furman and Stoddard Reed Atwood announce their engagement. Both are from Bakersfield families with ties to local business and education. Furman works as a bookkeeper for FL W. Ben Del Farming. Atwood attends Pomona College after Northwestern University and Bakersfield High School. The couple plans a late summer wedding.
The engagement of Bonnie Nadine Muir to Hankinson of Mer and Qbie was announced by her mother Mrs. David Muir of Shafter. Bonnie, a 1962 Shafter High School graduate, attended Stephens College in Missouri for a year and worked in accounting at S. A. Camp Companies in Cawelo. The wedding is planned for June with a large reception at the bride’s home, featuring festive decorations and numerous guests from Shafter, Wasco, Fowler, and nearby towns.
Local engagement announced for Kathryn Suey daughter of Mr and Mrs Lester Suey of Inglewood and Herbert Bud Engel son of Mrs Laura Engel of Shafter. Engel a 1960 Shafter high school graduate later earning degrees at Bakersfield College and Long Beach State with industrial arts majoring and teaching credentials. Ceremony held in December at Cerritos Hall.
Bertha Cota and Seaman William J. Roberts plan a January 22 wedding at the bridegroom’s home in Long Beach. The couple announced their engagement at a Christmas gathering in Shafter with family present.
