Two Drunk Drivers Fined and Licensed Suspended
Two drunk drivers paid fines totaling 350 dollars and had their licenses suspended for one month. Archie Holtsclow, 30, of 549 is Street, was fined 150 dollars. Don Coppan, 32, of Bakersfield, was fined 200 dollars. Judge F P Shaw imposed the penalties after the pair were arrested within minutes of each other by Blake Witcher for drunk driving. The Shafter City Council approved the $37,667 bid from Anderson Company of Visalia for the Tawlare Manuis sidewalk project after City Engineer John Reeves recommended the low bid.
