Five Faces of Kern students to display photos countywide
North Kern County students from Wasco Shafter Delano and McFarland join peers across Kern County to present the Five Faces of Kern photo project. About 150 high school photographers contributed with disposable cameras and one roll of film funded by a grant. The exhibit, hosted by the McFarland Kern County Library at 500 Kern Avenue, highlights personal histories through artistic image making and aims to boost self-esteem among participants.

Fifty years ago in Shafter the city awarded a low bid of 37 667 for Manuel Tulare side walks after a council trip to verify materials. City considers brush and limb collection ordinance changes

Bakersfield Country Music Museum will donate 4000 dollars to Kern County Museum Foundation to fund the Bakersfield Sound display expansion at the Kern County Museum in Bakersfield.
