Shafter Downtown Plan Moves Toward Construction
About 100 residents heard city officials outline the Shafter Visions Project 1996 downtown plan now ready for bids to be released. City manager John Guinn and project manager Lori Williamson described upgrades including a town square with fountain, a four sided clock, a waterfall, and Chinese Evergreen Elms canopy.
