Funeral Held for Shafter Pioneer Martha Schmidt
Funeral services are set for Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Ebenezer Reformed Church Shafter for Martha Schmidt 84 of 148 Pose St. who died Sunday in a Shafter canvalarium. Rev. Calvin Stuebbe will lead with Rev. Edward Rhoades assisting. burial at Shafter Memorial Park. Survived by two sons four daughters 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ora G. Irish aged 65 of 357 Ann Avenue Shafter are set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes Mish Funeral Home Shafter with Rev. Edward M. Rhoades officiating. Interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park. Mr. Irish died December 26 at home after moving from Kansas where he was a salvage dealer. He is survived by his widow Goldie two sons Glen and Junior L a sister and six grandchildren. Pallbearers include W J Mullin Bill Altman Jim Reed Carl Vander Valk Lionel Rodriguez Bill Lee Bob Lee Don Schmidt Bill Schmidt Bob Schmidt and Richard Fisher. Agee Funeral Home Shafter is handling arrangements.
