Shafter approves annexation to allow estate homes
The Shafter City Council opened with organizational business reelecting Jon Johnston and Cathy Prout. Prout became mayor and Fran Florez mayor pro-tem and Kern Council of Governments board member. Lerdo Jail Acts To Contain Hepatitis A Spread
Two inmates at Lerdo Jail’s Minimum Security Facility diagnosed with hepatitis A on December 13 and 14.
