AARP installs new officers at Shafter-Wasco chapter
The Shafter-Wasco AARP welcomed new officers and board members during December’s combined installation birthday party before 82 attendees. President Harlin Wilson, vice president Abe Isaac, and secretary Laura Hare were sworn in, with Verona Dalke returning as treasurer and board members including Elizabeth Peters, Bill Walker, and Mayme Reynolds. New two year terms go to Melvin Parrett, Russell Hamman, and Robert Nixon. The event featured a performance by Shafter High School choir and a plan for 1985 activities, tours, and outings, plus a Kiwanis Rotary food drive donation.
