Christmas Traditions and the Lighted Tree Origins
A historical overview traces the lighted Christmas tree to 1851 Cleveland where Pastor Schwan sparked controversy by bringing a lit tree into church and later validating it as a Christian custom. The piece links ornaments, greeting cards, Santa Claus origins, and gift customs across Europe and America, ending with holiday reflections from community members.
