Santa helps Shafter families with bicycles and gifts
In Shafter, police and volunteers distributed 25 bicycles, a scooter and a wagon to needy children, including 7 year old Little Joe who rode his bike proudly. Local merchants and Valley Bible Church assisted, with police chaplains helping identify recipients and repair old bikes for donation.

Hors d oeuvres, lodge opens at 4 p.m., dancing 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. New Year’s Day potluck dinner and football games. cost ten dollars per person.

Ingle Receives DARE Flag Honor at NKMC

Shafter Activity Center to Be Funded by PG&E Grant
RLSD will use a $10,000 energy efficiency package from PG&E to build the Shafter Neighborhood Activity Center on school property at the southeast corner of Poso and North Valley. The project, shared with Shafter Recreation and Parks District, totals about 11,200 square feet and is slated for completion by August 1994. The center will serve students during school hours and the public otherwise.
