Valley Fever Americas Foundation Executive Director Sandra Larson spoke at a Rotary Club meeting highlighting the disease as real and dangerous. She noted infections can stem from breathing fungal spores in Central California and parts of Arizona and New Mexico. The foundation is funding research and a vaccine via corporate donations and grassroots campaigns with clubs like Shafter Rotary.
