The Church of the Nazarene will stage a live nativity on Lerdo Highway at Reiker streets in its parking lot during Christmas. Performances run Friday December 20, Saturday December 21, and Sunday December 22 at 7 30 p m with live animals lighting effects and a caroling choir.
South Shafter Mennonite Brethren Church invites all to three Christmas events this weekend. On Friday 7 p.m. a pageant God's Christmas Gift features live animals and music with children from Sunday School. free admission and post performance fellowship. Sunday 5:30 p.m. Night of Music includes Forever After from Wasco and McFarland, plus a high school Sunday School production, then candlelight service at 7:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve after caroling at local hospitals. St Mark s Episcopal Church at 295 Beech Avenue Shafter announces Christmas services over the coming weeks. December 24 features Evensong at 4 30 p m and a children s scene. Midnight Mass is at 11 p m. Christmas Day service is 10 a m with carols. Additional services on December 29 and January 5 at 10 a m mark the Christmas Sundays. Further Twelve Days services will be announced.
