Local students brighten seniors in Shafter Christmas visit
Thirty Pat Daniels Junior High students visited Kern Crest Manor and Shafter Convalescent Hospital to deliver smiles, decorations, and homemade cookies. Seventh and eighth graders with instructional aide Toni Johnston created stained glass windows, ornaments, wreaths, and cookies, sang carols, and shared poems with residents, leaving many grandparents touched and planning a similar Valentine’s Day follow up.
