Free computers for Shafter students through community effort
The Shafter Police Department led a program with teachers, staff, and local groups to provide 20 computers to students lacking home access. Recipients must follow school rules to keep the computer, which will be removed if rules are violated. The effort involved donations from the Allien Group and local community members.
