A day at Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom features varied entertainment that whisks visitors from historic pioneer times to futuristic adventures. Characters from beloved stories guide guests through mysterious lands in a seamless, imaginative experience.
Walt Disney, a creative visionary, built Disneyland in Anaheim California as a dream fulfilled. From humble beginnings in 1923 with $40 and imagination, he and Roy formed a studio financed by a loan from an uncle and grew to a multi million venture, shaping public entertainment.
Disneyland unveils its largest expansion since opening with six new adventures including the Submarine Voyage Matterhorn Monorail Glacier Grotto and Alpine Caverns. Total park investment reaches 29.6 million and attractions count rises to 47 after the mid year launch. Through July 31 over 17 million visitors have enjoyed the park. The Submarine Voyage is highlighted as a leading addition. The Fender son and his wife visit San Luis Obispo for a brief stay amid expansion news.
The Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim California sits directly across from Disneyland Park and targets family stays year round. Operated by Wrather Hotels it features air conditioned rooms for four with kid friendly facilities, terraced pools orange groves and in house shops dining and entertainment spaces.
