Shafter Children’s Summer Theatre Stages Aladdin
The Fred L Starrh Performing Arts Center hosts a near full house for Shafter High School youth in Aladdin. Every child in the program acted, earning praise from Dana Starrh and Travis Christolear as 16 years of summer theater growth and future senior roles loom. Nearly 500 attendees watched youngsters shine and grow as a group through weeks of rehearsal.

School supplies drive by Assemblyman Valadao a community aid
The 30 District Assemblyman David Valadao office organized several Stuff the Bus events in Shafter and surrounding cities to fill a Richland School District bus with pens pencils binders backpacks and other school essentials for students in need.
