Shafter Youth Enters Two Year LDS Mission Prep
Kim Hyer son of Mr and Mrs Angus Hyer of Shafter begins a two month intensive Spanish language program in Salt Lake City after leaving Shafter August 1. The LDS Church prepares him for two years of South American missionary work in Argentina under Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints auspices. He arrived in Salt Lake City August 1 for orientation at the Mission Home starting August 3.
