City to resurfacing six streets and one alley in Shafter

Kern County budget proposal increases to 1.3 billion
The Kern County Administrative Office released a 1.3 billion dollar recommended budget for 2006 2007, a 159 million rise over last year driven by higher oil prices property value growth and more state and federal funds. Cinderella set for Shafter Children’s Summer Theater
