Journalist Selma Rob gos describes the rammed earth technique and its growing adoption in homes and churches in the current Rotarian magazine. The simple, durable process gains serious interest in the United States.
The passage notes rammed earth walls rising with safety and wind resistance, exteriors possibly stuccoed or coated. It states about 1,000 rammed earth buildings exist in the United States, mostly farms, though some attractive homes are increasingly built.
The text notes rammed earth as a wall material with potential cost advantages and discusses limited promotion and adoption by several institutions including Dakota State College. It mentions interior design and comparisons to brick or concrete walls, suggesting costs may range from 25 to 50 percent higher or lower in certain contexts.
Fragmentary text references Kell Institute in Kansas and moisture content notes. The readable bits suggest a technical or agricultural context but lack clear events, dates, or names to form a fuller report.
