Suggestions on care for late planted cotton
Tom Cherry of California Planting Cotton Seed Distributors notes high replant risk in the San Joaquin Valley amid adverse weather. He urges thinning late stands, early insect and water management, and suggests Acala SJ-3 or SJ-4 for easier late-season handling and potential early harvest advantages. CPCSD reports adequate unprocessed Acala SJ-3 and SJ-2 supplies.
