Tameria Cross was honored at a miscellan eous wedding shower in the social hall of the First Baptist Church on Thursday April 24. Hostesses included Mrs. Sandra Ballard Mrs Beth Schmidt Mrs Sandy Hutchison and others with 72 guests served lemonade slush punch and banana nut cake. Randy Griffith and Tameria have set August 16 as their wedding date at the church.

Specialists to offer free speech tests May 3
Parents of children with suspected voice impairment may have professionally administered tests of each child on May 3 from 8 30 a m to 12 30 p m at 2030 Truxtun Avenue. The office space and services are donated by ear nose and throat specialists Doctors Morledge Marshall and Zahry. Speech therapists in county and school districts sponsor the voice clinic with county Superintendent Dr Harry E Blair noting the program's prior success and urging arrangements through local district speech therapists.
