California Living Museum Celebrates Fifth Anniversary
CALM marks its fifth anniversary with a May 8 1988 celebration featuring wildlife lodges demonstrations and nature crafts. The event includes a wildflower show food fair rides and a children's playground. Regular admission applies with hours Tuesday to Sunday open 10 am to sunset.

Deukmejian unveils statewide energy aid for small districts
Governor Deukmejian announced the Small School District Energy Assistance Program on April 5 1988. The program, run by the California Energy Commission, offers free energy audits and loan assistance to districts with 2500 or fewer students. About 750 of California’s 1100 districts may apply, aiming to save nearly 4 million dollars over five years.
