Medina Sparks General comeback against Coalinga in altered game
Stevie Medina opened for the Generals with a double after runners on first and third, later scoring on Allen Torrigiani’s fly out. Coalinga answered with an overthrown ball, Nixon’s RBI and stolen bases, while the Generals extended their lead with aggressive baserunning. Coalinga’s coach argued with the umpire as the Generals piled on five more hits and three runs before the sixth inning, then Garces shut down Shafter in a later game loss 13-6 after a five inning meltdown.
