Peace Corps Volunteers Train in Davis for India Assignment
Peace Corps volunteers at the University of California Davis campus are two week training in migrant labor camps in Kern Tulare and Butte counties as part of a 12 week program for India posts. They will work on health nutrition and poultry projects and with migrant families to gain experience for community development duties. They will assist in health sanitation cooking and kitchen garden efforts and may perform local agricultural labor. Assigned to the North Shafter Farm Labor Center are volunteers from various states.
