Street Faire thrives in Shafter despite chilly wind
Shafter held its second annual April Street Faire April 7 with a gray sky and cool wind. Organizers said participation was strong from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as Kiwanis hosted breakfast and Rotary and Lions offered free Mule Country rides. The event expanded the blocked-off area and featured 29 participating merchants, along with food and crafts tables, prizes, and sponsor gratitude from organizer Russell Searcy.
