Richland PTA to Launch Five Week Parent Education Series
The Richland PTA announces a five week parent education program starting next Tuesday. Sessions run 10 to 11:30 a.m in Room 20 at Richland Upper Grade School with panels from Richland and Shafter educators and specialists. Topics include testing reading music gifted child preschool problems health adolescent development and social development of children. Free babysitting will be provided by Shafter Play Center. Cancer Crusade appeal urges donations as ACS notes 40 million Americans may face cancer.

Camp Fire Girls Schedule Set For April May Events
Mrs Harold Greene hosted the Shafter District Committee at 601 Sycamore Street. A leaders meeting is planned April 23 at Mrs Ernest Panero's home. An awards committee session is set for April 27 at Union National Church. May events include Blue Bird Fly Up May 13 and council fire May 20 at Scout Hall, plus the Kern County camp out May 24.
