Two San Joaquin Valley grocery stores, one in Modesto and one in Sanger, were barred from further participation in the Food Stamp plan after an investigation into violations of stamp regulations. The program aims to move surplus farm crops to relief households, aiding about 60,000 eligible participants monthly with $2,100,000 in stamps moved since September.
