Rev Lee Hamrick, a veteran evangelist with forty two years in the field, concludes a series at the Shafter Church of the Nazarene. Evening services continue at eight o clock this week with special singing by church members as the public is invited to attend.
Kern Academy students will perform a sacred program at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bakersfield tonight, featuring the miracle song Jesus Lover of My Soul. The Kern Academy Chorus directed by K. W. Wilson provides the musical portion with accompaniment by Mr. and Mrs. La Verne Roth and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nelson. participating students include Patricia Wikoff, Elmer Nightingale, Darlene Johnson, Bill Hull, Harlan Cramer, Joyce Dirksen, June and Jackie Horst.
Clyde Bryant a blind organist from Palo Alto California who is a member of the National Transcriber Society for the Blind gave a Hammond organ recital at Shafter High School auditorium last week. He performed classical and popular pieces to an audience of students who urged several encores.

In a post card election the Shafter Ministerial Association chose Rev Waldo Wiebe as President of the coming year. Rev C F Ummel was named Vice President, Rev B E Andrews Secretary, and Rev J W Bruner Treasurer. The officers assume duties after ratification at the next regular meeting.
Miss Lydia Fast ill with a heart ailment was moved from the home of Ezra Schneider to the home of Mrs Billy Toewes at Chowchilla. Mrs Dan Barling Mrs Ezra Schneider and Mrs John Dirksen accompanied her leaving Monday with Mrs Barling driving.
