Baron Explains Arab Jewish Crisis to Shafter Rotary
Baron De Meiss-Teuffen told Shafter Rotary Club members that the core of the Palestine struggle is Arab resentment of Jewish migration bringing democratic ideas. He cited migrants from Iraq, Egypt and Saudi Arabia forming raiding bands, with earlier welcome giving way to tension in 1935. He noted support from Hitler and Mussolini aiding Arab incidents, leading to a growing low scale war.
