Belridge Road Nears Completion Progress Sighted
Travel west on Lerdo road from Shafter to the Belridge oil field is possible now. A business men's committee led by Joe Frizzell H J Harder and A N Mougin after touring the Belridge field say the route is passable at a fair speed though surfacing and a narrow bridge at one point pose hazards. The road will open for regular travel within a few weeks as further work continues on rough sections.
