Waste Water Pump Demonstrated by Prather Shop
The Dick Prather machine shop completed a propeller type pump for Zimmer ban brothers to lift waste and irrigation water. Demonstrations Monday and Tuesday showed a car chassis mounted unit powered by a car engine capable of pumping up to 1400 gallons per minute with trash passing through to prevent clogs. It is noted the design is less efficient than turbines for well use but practical for irrigation and waste water handling.
