Adventist Youths to Attend Fresno Fair This Weekend
Shafter Seventh-day Adventist church plans to send about thirty youths to the Central California Pathfinder Fair in Fresno on April 7. The event gathers roughly 500 participants from 18 counties for games contests exhibits parades and drills. Local leaders Mrs. M. M. Fenderson Dana Mulder and Paul M. Mr and Mrs Charles Burns returned from Lancaster Pennsylvania after attending the 100th birthday of Burns aunt Miss Anna Hershey who still lives in the old family home in East Petersburg Lancaster County Pennsylvania. The celebration drew thirty nine family members from various states. The elder Mrs Hershey received more than 500 letters including one from President Eisenhower and one from Mrs Eisenhower. She has long served in her church and ran the home as a center for gatherings while tending her gardens and baking. The couple also visited Lawrenceville and Princeton New Jersey before returning via New Orleans. Mrs Vernell Migdat spent the weekend with her parents Abe and Mrs Guenther in Tehachapi.
