Nikkel Iron Works Sold to Fresno Firm Ikkel Iron Works Inc
Nikkel Iron Works, a Shafter based maker of Buffalo tillage tools and Darf Hay Rake, is sold after 79 years to Andrew and Shirley Cummings of T.G. Schmesser. The company will operate under Nikkel Iron Works with existing staff kept on during transition. Jack Nikkel, son of founder Albert Nikkel, reflects on over 150 years of combined experience guiding the firm.
