Car parked on tracks blocks Santa Fe line near Central Valley
Cer Perkedeon Trecks Ellen Arendaz of 471 Walnut reported a car parked across railroad tracks near the Coberly West gin on Central Valley Highway. The Santa Fe station agent notified a southbound freight, but the car was removed before the train arrived. The vehicle belonged to Robert Richards with no reason given.

Police In New Offices Move Reported
The police department has moved to the west wing of the County Building. Paintors are still at work in some areas but most operations are functioning. The chief said communications and telephones are mostly restored.
Richland School Faces Spending Review After Valuation Losses
The board of trustees discussed income losses and a likely review of school spending after valuation declines. The meeting was adjourned with the next session scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, at 7:30.
