Adolph Zollman of Cannelton Indiana is named superintendent of Seymour city schools. He signs a two year contract and takes office August 1 succeeding Norman Lasher who retires after 23 years. Zollman has 10 years admin experience and holds a BS in banking and an MS in education with partial PhD work. He previously led Monroeville consolidated school and has teaching and banking background. He belongs to state teachers groups and Kiwanis and is active in Boy Scout work. He is married and seeking housing in Seymour.

Seymour to host two day Christmas celebration in Seymour
The Seymour Christmas parade committee met at the Elks' Home to plan a two day event. A concert by the Indianapolis Newsboys Band is planned for Saturday night November 20 with Miss Mary Christmas crowned the next day. 130 Begin Swim Lessons at Pool

Mrs. Lessie Jean Rogers 61 of Indianapolis died. Funeral services were set for Wednesday at 2 pm in Roachdale. She was mother of James L. Rogers president of the Central Pharmacal Company. Survivors include husband Everett Rogers daughter Dorothy Jean Rogers and three brothers Howard Miller Hal Miller and Alvin Miller.

Crash Victim's Rites Conducted
Funeral services for Emmett Si Hattabaugh 41 of Washington county were held at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Allbritton presiding. Burial followed at Salem Cemetery. Hattabaugh died Sunday night from a punctured lung and internal injuries after a jeep overturned on State Road 135 near Wallonia. Driver Johnathan G Giddings 33 of Salem pleaded not guilty in Jackson Circuit Court to two counts reckless homicide and operating a motor vehicle under the influence. Bond set at 1000 total, 500 per count.
