They have orders for three carloads of pony buggies from St. Louis and two from Louisiana, and recently installed modern kilns and spray booths. Thirty five workers remain employed as they shift to breakfast suites amid high demand.

Grudges Of Brewer Put In State Hospital For Insanity
Thomas Brewer a fifty six year old man with a history of threatening townspeople and Mayor Burkart has been committed to the state prison hospital at Michigan City after a sanity inquest. Edward Massman Jr prosecuting attorney said Brewer will remain in the hospital while authorities deem him a danger. Brewer had been jailed in Brownstown on a peace bond after prior release from the Indiana penal farm where he served time for throwing rocks at a train in Pennsylvania. Brewer’s long-standing pattern of grudges and threats has troubled local officials for years.
