Youth Injured In Crash Near Seymour Then Dragged By Horses
Edwin Chastien of Woodstock suffered a mangled right thumb and cuts after a wagon he rode on was struck by a northbound Harris truck on U.S. Route 31 north of Seymour. He was dragged along the pavement while the horses ran. Chastien, his grandfather Richard Chastien, and cousin Richard Storey rode an empty hay wagon en route to Walnut Grove. Storey escaped uninjured, Chastien’s condition described as painful but not serious with potential recovery barring infection.
