Man Held After Wreck of Truck
Joseph S. Grove 29 of Louisville was held at the Seymour state police post awaiting Louisville authorities after arrest on East Second street following a collision with a stolen 1946 pickup owned by the Louisville Radio Company. A hitch-hiker Pvt Ernest E. Dudley Kokomo Fort Knox sustained minor injuries in the wreck on Alternate U S Route 31 north of Jonesville. Taft Hartley Bill Approved by Congress

The Senate 54 to 17 and the House 320 to 79 backed the compromise measure, which authorizes the attorney general to seek 80 day court orders to halt national emergency strikes during mediation. Two Injured in Headon Collision Near Crothersville
A head on collision on Persimmon Corner road two miles north and a half mile east of Crothersville injured two men. Mirl Meadows 33 of Crothersville drove east in a sedan. Robert Dorsey 28, a Crothersville garageman substituting as rural mail carrier, drove west in a 1939 sedan. Dorsey suffered right shoulder and knee injuries with minor cuts. Meadows had a severe knee cut, facial injuries, and chest injuries. Vehicle damages were about 600 and 250 dollars. Set. Clifford E. Mc Cory investigated.

First Concert Draws Large Crowd at Shields Park
