Body of Gus Kostki Found After Yearlong Disappearance
The body of Gus Kostki, a 23 year old Italian railroad worker who vanished after setting out to hunt on September 10, 1905, was found last Sunday at the foot of a precipice near Camp 52. Acquaintances identify the remains and gun, casting doubt on a prior glacier sighting. A rusty revolver and bones were found earlier near Kahita River, likely from a hunter who froze to death years ago. The Santa Clara arrived Sunday with 181 tons of goods and bridge timber for the railroad.
