Orders extend cable to Ketchikan via Wrangel
Seattle June 14 Lieut Col Glassford in charge of the Alaska cable and telegraph service was advised by the war department that the cable will be extended to Ketchikan this summer by way of Wrangel. The route loops through Fancher bay to Petersburg then north of Wrangel to Ketchikan and Hadley. He will go north to start work in July.

Miner paper planned for Tanana metropolis in Fairbanks
