Steamer Santa Clara arrived in port yesterday morning with twenty five passengers in cabin and sixty three steerage, mainly laborers for the Alaska Central. It carried eighty two tons of freight and fifteen days of mail from the Excalisior sailing May 16. The ship sailed to Seattle at 2 pm AL and took seven horses to Valdez. Bertha sailed Wednesday morning for Seldovia, returning yesterday afternoon, with thirty one cabin and thirty six steerage passengers and small cargo. Heavy cargo handling caused a delay. Neptune was the only vessel at Seldovia when she left.
