Gold from Kahiltna to Kuskokwim region attracts Seward prospectors

The upper Kahiltna and Kusko regions draw miners from Seward with promises of rich yields. T. RK Wilson and partner reported $1000 from Cache creek while estimating four thousand dollars in dust from upper Kahiltna streams. Wilson cites Nugget, Willow, Poor Man's Cache, Dollar, Thunder, Peters and Gold creeks producing substantial placers. He notes Herndon and Jacobson and Billy Morris as top producers and predicts larger cleanups with better equipment next year. Prospectors also plan winter routes via Susitna and Yentna passes, highlighting Seward as key access to the Kusko region.
