New Ladies Wear Store Opens in East Fourth Street
The Hieber-Met Co opened a new exclusive Ty ladies furnishings store in the Vierce-Blowers building on East Fourth Street. The busy opening drew crowds from Cedar Falls and nearby areas, with sales to out of town buyers and thousands of car tokens given away. Gorham millinery moved in for the launch, while local markets noted general prices for hogs, corn, butter, and eggs amid a steady business scene.

Big Religious Awakening Delayed Until Fall Revival
The ministerial association in Waterloo postpones special evangelist meetings planned for April. A central city revival is now set for early fall after the Great Bible conference, with evangelists including Torrey and Chapman considered. Jurisdictional issues and street-use limits prompted the shift. Julian Richards returns from Des Moines to visit friends and play golf.
