Waterloo Boys Try Forgery and Are Caught in Act

Two Waterloo youths paroled from the Industrial School at Eldora were arrested for forgery and sent back to reform school in Bidori. They allegedly passed three bogus checks, including one for $9 drawn on Security Bank. A second pair of forged checks, for $10.40 and $12, tied to Central and Commercial National banks, were also admitted. The elder, 20, and the younger, 18, had led orderly lives since parole but confess to the crimes amid sympathy for their situation. They must restart terms under industrial school rules, potentially until age 27 unless merit marks are earned.
