A quarantined diphtheria patient was placed in a rented concrete house on Commercial Street after the city health officer secured consent from the owner. Hillside Lot Sale Nets 82 Plots In Wet Weather

The Board of Trade sold eighty two hillside lots despite rain, prices ranging from 40 to 550, totaling about 24 600. The sale spurred active canvass efforts to move at least eighty more plots, with Standish organizing a free lunch and committees scheduling follow up calls.

In Dubuque Iowa on June 5 Ernest Woolwein aged 27 drank a half pine bottle of horse liniment thinking it rock and rye. A doctor worked over him all night and he is now believed to recover.

Two Sisters Die of Pneumonia in Quick Succession

In Elmwood Cemetery, two Nordham sisters die within twelve hours from pneumonia amid a family tragedy. Eda Nordham, 11, and Amelia Nordham, 12, of Minneapolis, succumb after measles and fever. Elder sister Elin, 11, remains critically ill, with a funeral at the family home canceled and prayers at the grave. The sisters will be buried together at Kimwood cemetery Thursday morning.

Centenarian Honored on Grandmother Hanlin’s Birthday
