Rural carrier suspended for alleged patron list request
Ocheyedan, Feb 18 J H Randall a rural route No 2 carrier has been suspended by the post office department over a suspected violation of rules against furnishing patrons names to firms. Randall allegedly sought an incubator from a Kansas firm in exchange for names of Osceola county mail recipients. He wrote three letters to other carriers and the case was referred to Washington for investigation.
Jury awards 4000 dollars for wreck injuries
Mason City on February 18 reports that after thirty six hours the jury awarded Thomas Hamilton of Hancock county four thousand dollars against the Mason City and Clear Lake railway. Hamilton was among the victims of last June's wreck at the Grand Army state encampment.
