Wreck on Burlington near Prescott kills engineer
A Burlington passenger train No 3 derailed two miles east of Prescott on February 14. Engineer E H Allen of Lincoln, Neb., was killed, and three other crew members injured. Frank Peterson of Creston suffered a leg fracture and severe burns. EB Rosener of Lincoln and R C G Perry of Creston were badly burned or scalded. All enginemen perished with the locomotives and were recovered from twisted iron. victims brought to Creston.
