Tokio dispatch reports renewed engagements on Manchurian routes with Japanese pickets repulsing infantry near Manchuantzu mountain and Linchangtun. Special to Reporter: News from Oklahoma City O T reports Coletta Medeke aged six died November 22 from diphtheria. She was the second youngest daughter of Joe Medeke a former East Waterloo township farmer. Mrs Medeke is now ill with the disease causing alarm among friends and relatives in this vicinity and at her home.
Maria Tobin sought 3000 for injuries after a January fall on a Commercial Street sidewalk in front of the new federal building Waterloo. Judge Platt directed a verdict for the city after testimony showed ice and snow conditions. City Attorney William led the defense, winning a key point as Tobin displayed a dislocated left arm and severe injuries.
Albert Young a 35 year old machinist was found at Dewar stock yards half dressed and incoherent. He was brought to Waterloo and lodged in the county jail after officers conferred with Sheriff Caldwell. Meanwhile the Uniform Rank of the Maccabees hosted a surprise party at their Sycamore street hall with Lady Maccabees, Drilling men, and a mock seizure of the hall by mysterious ladies, amid music and refreshments.
Manager Brown received a telegram stating that the John Fay Palmer Co. could perform here on December 6 for a one night stopover in a long jump. Palmer and Rachel Lewis star in Pompeii a subline Christian play about the power of the cross. The company claims about one hundred on stage. The event is described as notable for the local theatre.

Mr Lee previously managed a general merchandise business in Butler county and later worked for James Black Dry Goods. Mrs Lee is noted for many accomplishments. The groom left for Allison to visit the county clerk before joining his bride. Meanwhile local police investigated a case of enticing three girls to a building on Commercial Street. Stockholders including John Nix C Burg and Jacob Bleeker from Ackley were in Waterloo, inspecting a brewery under construction. Jacob Sartor of Cedar Falls was in Waterloo on business.
Markets furnished by Walter Carr and Co provide prices for Amalgamated Copper and United States Steel among others with figures around 606.08 for copper and 92 percent for preferred steel. Waterloo managers and the city ministerial association reached an agreement to close Sunday theatres in the city. The move ends Sunday showings at the Brown's and Meetiic theatres, with most future bookings canceled to avoid expense. N W Tieman a well known traveling man and former Waterloo resident died this morning at New Benton Iowa after years of business travel. Funeral at 2:00 p m Saturday from D H Weaver home. Wife Mary Tieman reported death and the family had lived in Waterloo four years before moving to Burlington and New Boston. Many friends remember him as hospitable and generous. News includes brief local notices and unrelated items.
