N. H. Whaley of Des Moines, a noted author and lecturer, will deliver a temperance address next Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Baptist church. Whaley specializes in scientific temperance instruction and presents reform from a new partisan basis, anticipated to draw a large audience.
A ceremony joined Er nest Palmer of Eugene Oregon and E Mildred Hiserote of Radcliffe Town in marriage at the bride's home in Radcliffe Sunday noon September 24 Rev Plummer officiated. The couple planned to return to Eugene so Palmer can resume his civil engineering studies at the state university after two years completed.

Funded via Philadelphia School for Nurses in Witherspoon Building, diploma and Red Cross order upon graduation. Two years of training with city hospital exposure, optional eighteen month path, with paths to self support and financial advancement. Dr. G A Stewart endorses the program.
Alice Clover Homann born in Franklin county Ohio on September 27. Her life spanned Hardin county Iowa and Abbott where she died September 22, 1905 after a heart condition worsened by asthma. She leaves her husband two sons two daughters and siblings. Funeral in Evangelical church at Abbott with Rev. Willman. burial at Green cemetery.

Margie Doud headed home to Kansas after visiting locally. Blanche Townsend visited Elia Montgomery at Eldora. Everette Moon of New Providence visited relatives here. Tom Platts and son Harry left for North Dakota on a land seekers trip.

The carnival in Town kept folks away from the bary this week. Mrs Wiestiart and son of Freeport, Illinois visited the Nelson home. Guy Wilson hosted the Welping Wand Club Thursday. Next meeting with Miss Lena Inn on Thursday Oct 3. Mrs J. B. Quiggie injured in runaway not recovering quickly. Mrs Stella Carpenter of Stedmbont Rock visited. Miss Ethel Hall to St Joseph Mo for school. Misses Annabel Fall and Jewel Simpson attend Ellsworth College. Grandma Woolworth visited Mrs Byron Wilson. Artie Wilson hosted a Sunday school class at her home. J. L. Warra came from Eldora Thursday. The Helping Wand Club of Robertson will serve chicken pie Friday at the hall. Son Wilson and wife visit daughter Mrs Irvin Leiser in Des Moines.
