The Herald argues city street regrading in Eldora 1904 will beautify the town, raise property values, and improve drainage despite initial hardship for a few property owners. Dean Peisen leaves for St Louis, Miss Albrook returns after quinsy, and school opens with 417 total enrollment including 112 in the high school. Three graduates enter Ames, Hilsworth, and Iowa College. E H S A A officers elected: Peisen president, Earl Borsack VP, John Fowler secretary treasurer. field meet planned with a trophy for the top class.
A list of deeds shows A W Gilbert transferring numerous parcels to C H Gilbert M Dewey Gilbert and W G Granzow with sums from 7000 to 11000. Other transfers include Thomas Knutson Rezin Kennedy John Harms HG Wiringer C C Shore Andrew Perry ME Williams and L A Brentman plus M E Williams Henry Luiken to Henrietta Jackson and RA Johnson to Miller. Several properties referenced include Ackley Steamboat Rock and Eldora areas with prices ranging from 400 to 8000 dollars.
A Jefferson Street resident testifies that Dean's Kidney Pills relieved Mrs. McCall's severe kidney related pain after years of attacks. He reports a neighborly recommendation, noting a box kept on hand and a complete stop to attacks with a course of treatment. Sold by Foster Kilburn Co Buffalo NC and others for 50 cents. Remember the name Dean's and take no substitute.
Eldora Junction reports visiting relatives and neighbors with W J Miller, Mrs J W Miller and Edna of Liscomb among those seen. Hartman, Thach and C F Miller families are noted, Virgil Miller visited Berlin, J A Miller traveled to Marshalltown and Susie Sharp began fall term in East Ward Xenia. An advertisement promotes Burdock Blood Bitters as a health aid.

The funeral for G Little, who died suddenly at his Popejoy home on Saturday, was held Sunday. Burial followed in Alden cemetery under the K of P lodge, of which he was a member. Little was a Rock Island station agent at Popejoy and despite being a cripple, he was in good health until the shock of his death.
Fire at mid day destroyed Henry Howards stock barn west of town. About forty tons of hay two hundred bushels of old corn fifty bushels oats and farm implements perished. Loss estimated around three thousand dollars with little insurance. Origin of fire unknown. occupants were in barn minutes before discovery. This item appeared too late for The Herald.
M M Crosbie, longtime Asbury Park businessman, left for Eldora Iowa to wed Agnes M Crane a widow of middle age. The ceremony is planned for Sept with the couple to reside in Asbury Park afterward, visiting St Louis en route.
Mr Osbie, a city landlord of thirteen rental houses, plans a cottage wedding this Wednesday afternoon at B H Teac's residence in the Third ward. Rev Geo B Shoemaker will solemnize the ceremony. The couple will travel to St Louis for ten days before settling in Asbury Park New Jersey.
A box sociable will be given at the Gifford church on Friday evening next, Sept. 16, inviting all to attend for an enjoyable and pleasant evening of socializing.
A full house enjoyed Beach and Bowers Minstrels with lively gags and expressive facial mobility. The show featured ebony countenances, strong specialties, and excellent singing, praised by the Sioux City Daily Tribune after the Wisner performance on September 17.
